Hi Guys! Greetings of the day!
My devkit was working fine with both wifi and ethernet. But now while connecting the MFAM with Magview using ethernet port I am getting the error "Error 56 occurred at TCP Open Connection in MagViewMFAM_V1_1_3_2.vi". Please see the screenshot attached. I am not getting any data plotted. It is working well with wifi. I put the right software in the SD card and it is getting installed. The ethernet port setting is also fine according to Appendix A of the user manual. Any help to resolve this error would be appreciated. Thanks in advanced.
and also there is no light blinking in the Ethernet status near the Ethernet port of MFAM dev kit.
@kuldeep Please refer to our other post:
According to your description, most likely the wifi firmware is still running in the dev kit. Please load the ethernet firmware and try it again. Let us know whether this fix the problem!
Hi Rui Zhang, Thanks for your prompt response.
Loading the ethernet firmware did not work. I have the following observations:-
1. Dev kit working well with wifi but not getting connected via Ethernet port.
3. I have set the correct IP address in my PC according to the manual and the other post you ask to refer. It was working well a few weeks before with the same setting.
2. Tried multiple attempt to install Tiva_Interface_EK_Public.bin, every time looks like its getting installed because I did not find the btb.bin in SD card after powering it up. If the Tiva_Interface_EK_Public.bin is installed, dev does not work with wifi as expected because Ethernet software is installed ?
3. Also tried btb_192.168.2.3.bin and btb_192.168.2.4 provided inside TIVA_Ethernet_EK V1.1.1 Firmware folder. But no Ethernet led blinking on dev kit. I also tried ping using terminal.
4. Also tried the Reset switch but the same status.
Thanks a lot
@kuldeep You are correct. If the Ethernet software is installed, wifi code doesn't work. You can still connect to wifi. But there is no data communication.
This appears to be a hardware issue. The Dev Kit needs to be sent back for evaluation. Please fill out our RMA form online and our customer service will contact you.
