The sample rate in MagViewMFAM is only applied to the processed data (reading display and saved ASCII data). The binary data is always at 1 kHz.

The sample rate in WIFI firmware is fixed at 1 kHz.

Please remember to low pass filter the 1 kHz readings first before down sampling.
