Repair Procedures FAQ
Equipment being returned for repair requires a Return Material Authorization number (RMA #). You must fill out the form at RMA Request. Once submitted you will be emailed the number and shipping instructions.
Upon receiving your equipment in our Customer Service department, a notification will be sent by email or fax to advise the arrival of your equipment. Due to a high volume of business, repair estimates will be sent within 2-3 weeks of the receipt of instrument. Unit's sent to Geometrics without a RMA # will delay the turnaround time for the repair estimate.
The following information is required in order to generate a RMA:
• Full customer contact info (include email)
• Instrument name
• Serial number
• Description of the problem
• End User
Effective March 1, 2009 Geometrics repair labor rate will be $130.00 per hour with a minimum 2 hour evaluation fee per instrument. Any repairs received prior to March 1, 2009 will be honored at the lower current rate of $120.00 per hour.
