Applications Manual for Portable Magnetometers

MagPick Magnetics Processing Software This free powerful data processing and modeling package provides database management, file importation, gridding, contouring and dipole pattern matching target modeling. Includes latest manual. (4 Mb)

MagMap2000 This is a self extracting file of the latest version of MagMag2000. Save this to a temporary directory, run the program and after it extracts, run SETUP. Includes latest manual. (16 Mb)

Cesium Sensor Active Zone Solution - CSAZ is a stand alone Windows™ program designed to inform Cesium magnetometer users about proper sensor orientation in all parts of the world and in all survey directions. CSAZ also provides information about the Earth's magnetic field parameters including field strength (total field), inclination (angle of the Earth's field relative to the surface of the Earth) and declination (angle between magnetic north and true or geographical north). Using the IGRF (International Geo-Magnetic Reference Field) model, CSAZ presents a quick and easy way to determine these values anywhere in the world.

MagLog NT/MagLog LITE This is a self extracting file of our premier data logging software MagLogNT. If you have not purchased this program, it runs in demo mode with included sample files. If you have purchased the program, this is the latest released version and may be installed over your existing program. MagLog NT/LIte shows the versatility of the logging program for Airborne, Marine and Land Based UXO applications. Includes latest manual. (5.7MB)

G-858 Test Data This is a zipped file of more extensive G-858 data for use in training with MagMag2000. It includes two sections of the Stanford Test Site at high resolution and a basestation file. (858DATA.ZIP 254 KB)

G-880 Test Data This is a zipped file of G-880 marine magnetometer data for use with MagMap96 and other analysis programs such as MagPlot. It includes one file of G-880 gradiometerdata and one file with GPS data. (880DATA.ZIP 203KB)

Magnetometer Accessory Disk This is a self extracting file that is sent out with every magnetometer system. It includes CSAZ which is a cesium magnetometer orientation program, DepthCal which is a program to calibrate the depth sensors in our G-880 and G-881 marine magnetometers and VIEW201 which is a utility program for testing and logging of magnetometer data from 823's, 880's and 881's.(CSMAGACC.EXE 326 KB)

Cesium Optically Pumped Magnetometers Introduction to the Theory of Operation of the Cesium vapor magnetometer. (M-TR91.pdf, 123 Kb)

Total Field Magnetometer Performance Published Specifications and What They Mean This document is presented to aid users of total field magnetometers to better understand published system specifications and thus select the best equipment for their application. The report is divided into two main sections: the first defines typical specifications, precisely explaining their meaning and importance in practical usage. The second section describes the different types of total field magnetometers and in simple terms how they work so that a comparison of performance is possible. (M-TR120, 91Kb)
