Use the Stratagem:
When you need to get information to depths that other instruments cannot easily get. It provides resistivity information in the range of 10 to 500 meters where other systems either don’t work well or are difficult to set up. For example, to get 200 meters depth with a traditional resistivity meter, you need an array that is 1 km long. For the Stratagem, you can get it with a 50 meter set up or less.
When you want an instrument that is easy to operate. The Stratagem is a fully integrated system with its own data logger, transmitter, software, printer, etc. all bundled into one system with one basic price. Other systems have lots of options and require complex configurations.

When you need speed! It is much faster than traditional resistivity systems. Surveys can be done five times faster than stakes-in-the-ground resistivity systems.
When you need clarity! It is less subject to power line and telluric noise interference than stakes so can be used in noisy areas where traditional resistivity cannot.

Introducing the New MetalMapper 2×2:
The Geometrics MetalMapper 2×2 is the successor to the Geometrics MetalMapper. Both systems use advanced electromagnetic induction sensors to distinguish unexploded ordnance (UXO) from scrap metal. These innovative sensors, which have been developed and demonstrated over the past 15 years by government and private organizations, could save billions of dollars in unexploded ordinance cleanup costs at former training ranges. Before the use of these advanced EM techniques, a munitions site was mapped with a metal detector and all detected metallic objects were investigated by digging. Previous studies show that less 1% of these objects were UXO items of interest. The majority of what was dug is scrap metal, bits of shrapnel, or trash. The advanced EM technique used by the MetalMapper 2×2 and MetalMapper allow geophysicists to identify UXO targets of interest among the scrap, significantly reducing the amount of items which are investigated by digging. This reduction in digging translates to a large cost savings for the project.
