Questionnaire To the Members of EEGS Fall 2003, Version 1.1
EEGS, the Environmental and Engineering Geophysical Society, was created to expand awareness of the use of geophysics in the professional community to solve problems related to engineering and the environment.
To accomplish this objective, we employ a variety of tools including our annual meeting, SAGEEP; the journal of Environmental and Engineering Geophysics, JEEG; our newsletter Fast Times; and regular emails from our president and our web site at www.eegs.org. It is important to ensure that these tools are working productively and with this in mind we are asking you to fill in the following questionnaire.
Questionnaires are always a nuisance, and are usually thrown into the nearest circular file. Please do not do that! We need your answers to improve. Please take time to answer the questions carefully (most simply require a yes/no answer, or circle), and be sure to add any additional comments that you have.

Check the ones that you have interest in:
30. We could also produce a similar series of volumes, but this time focusing more on the different geophysical techniques (please check ones that apply):
D. Helping EEGS Work Better
31. Many members of EEGS are also members of the Near Surface Geophysics Section of the SEG. Although EEGS has SAGEEP and the journal JEEG, the two groups have some duplication. Should EEGS and NSG look for ways to minimize overlap between the two organizations, or to have a tighter affiliation?
32. EEGS is always on the lookout for members of our organization who would be willing to act on the Boards of Directors, or stand for election as an officer. Would you agree to offer your services in either role (if so, be sure that we have your name on this form)? Yes No
33. The smooth functioning of the EEGS organization and the SAGEEP conference relies heavily on the efforts and expertise of our committees and volunteers. The committees are currently as follows. Can you please select any committee that you are interested in contributing some time to?
34. Putting together the Journal of Environmental Geophysics (JEEG) and Fast Times is challenging and rewarding. Can you help out with:
35. Please give us your further comments below on any of the subjects raised above:
Thank your for your help!
