May 03, 2016 | Posted in News

A multidisciplinary team of Geometrics’ scientists, engineers, and software developers took the new MetalMapper 2×2 through a final series of performance tests at Ft. Ord, in Seaside, CA on April 27, 2016. The team tested the system over the Ordnance Detection and Discrimination System (ODDS) plot, a proving ground designed to test UXO discrimination techniques, to conduct the final system verification. The team tested each of the MetalMapper 2×2’s unique functions, including dynamic and static data acquisition. Additionally, the team tested an entirely new feature called the function test. This test provides verifiable results traceable back to the factory assuring the user that the equipment is operating within factory specifications, thus providing peace of mind that the data is reliable.

NAEVA Geophysics personnel used the system to verify the usability and reliability of the software and hardware. Experienced data processors are currently analyzing the data to ensure that the results meet current accreditation standards. Initial feedback is promising and we look forward to releasing this product in May 2016. For more information, please click HERE.
